Inserting images with the editor

Depending on whether your site is using Resources or File Manager for file management, you may see slightly different options when you go to insert an image. This article outlines the procedures for both options.

Inserting an image from File Manager

  1. Place your cursor in the location where you wish to insert the image and select the "Insert Image" icon.

  2. The Insert Image popup window will appear. Click the "Browse" button.

  3. The popup will switch to display File Manager. Navigate using the folders on the left; once in the proper folder, click on the name of an image to select it.

  4. If the image has not already been added to File Manager, click on the "+upload files" link at the top of the window to save it to the website.

  5. Returning to the Insert Image popup, the screen will display a live preview of the image. At this point the user can edit the size, margin, and alignment options if desired, or click "Save" to drop the image into the page as is.

  6. After adding an image, double-click on it in the text-entry area to bring up editing options.

Inserting an image from Resources

  1. Place your cursor in the location where you wish to insert the image and select the "Insert Image" icon.

  2. The Insert Image popup window will appear. Use the filter to find your resource on the list and click it to add it to the content editor.

  3. If your resource is not already uploaded to Resources, use the “Public Resource” button to upload a new one or the “File Manager” or “Media Manager” buttons to migrate one from one of those locations. Edit the resource properties, then click “Save” to add it to the content editor.

  4. Double-click on the image to bring up the Image Properties window. Here, you can edit the image selected as well as alter size, alt text, alignment, and other properties.

  5. Click “OK” to save.
