Resource folders can be hidden from students by using the date range controls to set a time frame during which the resource is invisible. The folder will still be accessible to and editable by group admins, but students won't be able to see anything in that folder.
Click on the pencil icon associated with a resource to bring up its properties.
Use the "Display Date" and "Archive Date" controls to establish a time frame; within that span of time, the resource will be accessible to students. Admins will be able to customize the sort order of time-restricted resource folders, even though they won't be visible to students. When viewing the Resources page in List View, admins will see a note indicating when a time-restricted folder will become visible.
Once the "Archive Date" set in the folder properties has passed, the resource folder will be archived and no longer visible to students. Archived resource folders are displayed at the bottom of the resources page and are partially grayed-out to indicate that they are no longer active.
Teachers can also directly archive folders by clicking the associated pencil icon and using the controls in the folder properties window.
The date-range restriction and archive visibility controls can be applied directly to resources as well as to resource folders. Additionally, resource folders can contain other folders, and each of those folders can have different date-range and archive settings, giving teachers a great deal of flexibility in how they choose to display resource content.
