Linking to a file in File Manager is a better practice than attaching a file, as described in Send files via eNotify. To link to a file, follow these steps.
-
While creating your eNotice, highlight the text that you want to become a link, then click the "Link" button to bring up the link window.
-
If the file you want to link has not yet been uploaded to File Manager, follow the instructions here: Uploading files or images to File Manager.
-
Paste the address of the file from File Manager into the "URL" field of the link window. You can get the URL of a file in File Manager by clicking on the eye icon next to it - this opens the file in a new browser tab, and you can copy the address from the address bar.
-
In the eNotice editor, the text that you highlighted in step 1 is now a link. When your recipients get this eNotice, they'll be able to click on the link and download the file you selected.
-
After you've sent the eNotice, you can view its stats and see how many people have clicked on the links, including links to files. See eNotify statistics and analytics reports.
