Accessibility is a hot-button issue when it comes to web design and may have legal consequences, but it’s also just good digital citizenship. Resources offers multiple tools to help you make your files accessible, whether it’s adding alt text to your images or closed captions to your videos.
Within Resources, you have the option to add a closed-caption file to your videos in WebVTT, or Web Video Text Track, format. Use a conversion site such as 3Play Media to convert your caption files to the proper format, then upload them to the resource in the Properties section. Refer to our advice about writing meaningful alt text and making accessible PDFs for more on helping users with assistive technology better use the web.
