The dynamic content tab allows you to set up configurations for bringing Posts content into messages. To create a new configuration, select the “+ Content” button in the top-right corner.
Enter a title for the configuration.
Expand the “Content Filters” menu. Select a collection, board, or boards from which to pull the Posts content. Just like the Post element, you have the option to display all or only featured posts, as well as posts only from a specific tag or tags. Role and group settings for the post will be ignored, however, as it is not possible to track a user’s role information via email.
Under “Content Details,” choose which elements of the posts you would like to display. These can be:
- Publish Date
- Publish Time
- RSS Summary
- Summary (not recommended)
- Body (not recommended)
Once you select an element, options will appear to adjust the appearance of this element, such as alignment and font.
Note: Summary and Body content are not recommended because they may contain HTML content that’s not compatible with the email format. It may not render correctly, especially on responsive displays.
Finally, “Formatting” allows you to designate how many posts will appear, what order they’ll appear in, the date format, the spacing between posts, font, and whether to link the post title back to the default board post page.
Once you have configured the settings, click Save to finalize the content.
Adding dynamic content to a message
In the message editor, drag a “Dynamic Content” block into the message layout. Click on the block to define which content configuration to use. Select the configuration from the list.
