Add a New Sport

This article explains how to add a new sport in Athletics Manager, including setting the scoring rule and default season so it appears in the sport dropdown for athletic events.

To have a new sport appear in the sport dropdown when creating an athletic event, you must first add that sport in Athletics Manager, under the Dashboard tab, Team Classification.  

When you select  + New Sport, you will be prompted to add a sport name, the order of the Sport (if no order is selected, it defaults to alphabetical order by sport name), whether high or low score wins, a default season assignment, and a default icon image.

After creating a new sport, you can edit the sport name, order, scoring, season, or icon by hovering over the name of the sport in the list on Team Classification > Sports, and selecting the pencil edit icon.  

Once the new sport has been created and saved, it will appear in the sport dropdown when creating new athletic events.
