Identify what is new in Finalsite Training

The training portal has undergone a complete redesign to improve the learning experience. Key updates include:

  • Shorter, task-based courses: Bite-sized microcourses allow for targeted skill development.
  • Hands-on interactivity: Software simulations provide a safe environment to practice clicking through real tasks.
  • Product-specific landing pages: Dedicated pages for Composer, Messages XR Enterprise, and Enrollment Management offer tailored resources.
  • Built-in support: Direct links to Live Workshops, Office Hours, and Personalized Training are available on every product page.

Access Finalsite Training from the CMS Dashboard (Step 1)

A separate account is not required. Finalsite Training uses single sign-on from the Composer Dashboard. Click the Training button in the top-right corner to enter the portal.

Alternatively, click the Finalsite Help bubble icon in the Composer left navigation. Select Support & Training, then click Finalsite Training.

Navigate the training dashboard (Step 2)

Upon entry, the main Training Dashboard appears. Use this area to select the specific product requiring training, such as Composer or Messages XR Enterprise.

Select a specific product path (Step 3)

Each product features a consistent layout to help locate information quickly. Use the following sections to guide the learning process:

  • Getting Started: Ideal for new users. Begin with the LMS Tour and Orientation courses to understand the portal basics.
  • Training by Role: Access learning paths tailored to job responsibilities, such as Main Site Administrator, Page Editor, or Communications User.
  • Training by Module: Jump straight to a specific tool or feature by browsing courses organized by module.

Locate additional support resources (Step 4)

The bottom of every product landing page contains an Additional Support section. This includes access to:

  • Live Workshops: Free, instructor-led sessions.
  • Office Hours: Q&A sessions with the Education Team.
  • Knowledge Base: Documentation and troubleshooting guides.
  • Professional Services: Project-based support.
  • Personalized Training: One-on-one sessions for the school team.
