Feeds element

The Feeds element displays social media posts from your school's connected channels on a Composer page in list, grid, slideshow, or custom format. The Feeds module must be configured and content moderated in the Feeds Moderation Console before placing the element.

Feeds is a module in the Finalsite platform where you can connect and showcase social media content on your website in real time, automatically integrating content posted from your school’s social channels onto your website. The Feeds element lets you display posts on a site page, according to the settings applied in the Feeds Moderation Console.

What are Elements?

Before placing a Feeds element in composer, be sure you have followed the steps in the article, "Feeds overview" to configure your Feeds module.

Feeds element settings

Once you place a Feeds element on a page, click the settings gear to see the available configurations.

In addition to the common element settings, the Feeds element has the following configuration options:

List 

  • Sources: Choose one or more option from a dropdown list of available feed sources.
  • Display [X] posts at a time: Choose from 1 to 100 posts to display. 

Grid

  • Sources: Choose one or more option from a dropdown list of available feed sources.
  • Display [X] posts at a time: Choose from 1 to 100 posts to display.
  • Show up to [X] posts wide: Decide how many posts across to display, from one to six. 

Slideshow

  • Sources: Choose one or more option from a dropdown list of available feed sources.
  • Display [X] posts at a time: Choose from 1 to 100 posts to display.
  • Show up to [X] posts wide: Decide how many posts across to display, from one to six.

Custom

  • Sources: Choose one or more option from a dropdown list of available feed sources.
