Integrated Services Manager is a module that you can use to manage your integrations, authentication methods, and SSOs. This article is an overview of what you can do in this module.
Navigate to Integrated Services Manager from your module menu. A separate window will open where you will manage your integrations.
Each tab within Integrated Services Manager has a different area of configurations depending on the specific type of integration you are wanting to connect.
Click to expand each section out below to view more details for each tab within Integrated Services Manager.
In the integration tab, you can view a list of your existing integrations. Clicking on an integration will show you all of the feeds associated with that service.
For each feed, there are a few columns that give you useful information about your integration.
Enabled
This column shows you if a feed is enabled or disabled. A check mark means the feed is enabled, while an X means the feed is disabled. You can click on the icon to enable/disable a feed (for example, if you click on the green check mark for an enabled feed, you will disable the feed. You can also re-enable the feed by clicking on the X icon).
Feed Name
This shows you the name of the feed, which is typically based on the type of data being synced (for example, athletics, or faculty/facstaff, etc.). If you’d like to change the name of a feed, you will need to submit a support request to our integrations team.
Last Refresh Date
The Last Refresh Date is an indication of the last time the integration was able to process new or updated data. It does NOT indicate the last time your integration ran. You can use this date to get a sense of if your integration is running properly or not.
For example, let’s say that the current date is 11/15/2023, and the Last Refresh Date is currently 10/01/2023. If the feed is enabled, then this means that integration has not been able to process any new or updated data since 10/01/2023.
While this could be an indication that the feed isn’t running properly, this does not necessarily mean there is an issue with your integration. It’s possible that no data has changed in the data source since the Last Refresh Date. For example, this can happen with constituent feeds where users are not added or updated on a frequent basis.
If you notice that the Last Refresh Date hasn’t updated recently, and a change has been made in the source data since the Last Refresh Date that is not yet reflected in Constituent Manager, you can reach out to our support team to investigate the cause of the issue.
Status
This column typically shows a status message when the feed was changed recently. For example, when a change is made to a feed’s configuration by a master admin, or when a feed is disabled or enabled, a message will appear indicating the last time this feed was adjusted.
If no adjustments to a feed have been made in X months, then the Status column will be empty.
This page will show you all of the authentication methods for your site. For all sites, the “finalsite” authentication will be listed by default.
You cannot make any changes to the authentication configurations listed in Integrated Services Manager; this needs to be done by a master admin.
However, if you want to swap a role over to an authentication method, you can do this by clicking on the service, clicking the Role Settings button, and then selecting the Add Role button.
Please note that each role can only have one authentication method, so adding a role to one auth will remove it from its previous one.
You cannot make many changes to the SSO configurations listed in Integrated Services Manager; this needs to be done by a master admin.
However, you can test an SSO on this page by using a username and password combination. You can also view the list of links that go from Finalsite to a page in the other website/application.
This utility is used to deactivate users who are no longer syncing via an integration feed. For more details on the Off-Feed Utility, read our article, "Off-Feed Utility."
