When sending out communications, it's often helpful to track which users are connected to a certain communication. Messages has the ability to view reporting and subscription information on each recipient. This article will describe how it works and what options are available to you.

The Messages menu has a tool that makes it easy to locate and view every user that receives communication from you. To locate this feature, open up Messages, click on the Contacts tab in the Messages left navigation menu and then choose Find Recipient.
Search for a recipient
Enter a name or email address into the search field to look up a specific Messages recipient.
View history of communication
Once you've selected your recipient, use the Filter by Activity dropdown, or browse to find:
- messages recently sent to the recipient along with whether each specific message was Sent, Delivered, Opened, or Clicked
- mailing list subscription statuses
- subscribe or unsubscribe history log showing "Consent Type" and new level

View SMS preferences
Want to see what a recipient's subscription preferences are? Click into the dropdown beneath their name to see the subscription setting applied to SMS communication.
Selecting the SMS line will populate a log below, all pertaining to the phone number attached to the SMS field. It will also display what the user's selected preference for SMS is set at.
View Voice preferences
Want to see what a recipient's subscription preferences are? Click into the dropdown beneath their name to see the subscription setting applied to Voice communication.
If there is any activity, selecting the Voice line will populate a log below, all pertaining to the phone number attached to the Voice field (Home Phone). It will also display what the user's selected preference for Voice is set at.
View Email preferences
Want to see what a recipient's subscription preferences are for email communication? In Contacts > Find Recipient, select the email address displaying in the dropdown. This will populate a log below, all pertaining to email address activity and communications.
These are set by users in the Account Preferences > Preferences tab.
Email Subscription level breakdown
- All Messages: User will be added to any mailing list, and it is the user's responsibility to unsubscribe if not wanting to receive messages from that list.

Invite Only: When user is added to a list, they will immediately receive a message that notifies them that they were added to the list, asking to accept the invitation.
- User won't receive any other messages from the list unless they accept this invite.
User status will be listed as Invited until they accept.
- User won't receive any other messages from the list unless they accept this invite.
- My Choice: Selecting this option means the user will be listed as Unsubscribed when being added to any mailing lists. User can add themselves to mailing lists by going to Notifications from their portal menu.
- No Messages: User will not receive messages from any mailing list as well as any board, calendar or athletic alerts to which they are currently subscribed.

Adjust a recipient's preferences on their behalf
Sometimes you will be asked by a recipient to adjust their subscription preferences on their behalf. Here's how to do this:
- Step 1: On the Find Recipient screen, locate the user whose preferences you want to view.

Step 2: Click on the orange bell icon next in the line where the name can be found.

Step 3: A window will open that allows you to manage both Notifications and Preferences for the selected user. Click on Preferences to open up the user's current preferences.

Step 4: Manage the user's preferences. Expand out each area to manage:
- Email preferences: Choose an option from the Email Subscription Level Breakdown.
- SMS preferences: Choose from All Messages and No Messages.

Voice preferences: Choose from All Messages and No Messages.

Step 5: Refresh the user's activity feed to see the new preferences displaying with a timestamp of when this change occurred.
