Create an events page

An events page in Composer is built using a Calendar element paired with an optional Calendar Tools element, which together let visitors view, filter, and subscribe to school events. The Calendar element supports four display formats: List, Grid, Slideshow, and Event.

Once you have set up your calendars in Calendar Manager, now it's time to configure your settings for how you'd like to display your events for your community. 

Two calendar elements

There are two elements that are available to you from the Element Library: 

Be creative with adding these two elements and other Layout Elements to allow your community to: 

  • view events and all the happenings in your district or school
  • filter / choose certain calendars to view while deselecting others they don't wish to see
  • subscribe to certain calendars to view on their phone and/or receive notifications about

Create or find your events page

Decide where in your main navigation or website you'd like your community to find your events. You may have an events page already created for you. Will you call it "Events" or "Calendars?" What is your community familiar with already? Move it to the place where you feel it fits best.

Step 1: Choose your format

There are four different "formats" you can display events on a Composer page: 

  • List
  • Grid
  • Slideshow
  • Event
