How is Finalsite Central different from the Messages module on my computer?
With Finalsite Central, web admins can make, create, edit, and send messages quickly and easily from a mobile device. It's even possible to share messages to all Messages XR channels enabled (email, SMS, voice, and Mobile app) by pre-filling content across channels to save even more time.
The purpose of the Finalsite Mobile app is for site visitors to be able to access information on your website from a mobile device. You can push Messages from Finalsite Central to your Mobile app! After drafting a message in the opening screen, you will see options to push to other channels (SMS, Voice) and your site’s Mobile app is one option.

How do I log in to the app? What about SSO or additional authentication methods (Azure, SAML)?

Can I edit messages on the app that were previously created on the web version or saved as draft version?
Access messages that already exist in the web based version of Messages or create new messages on the go. You can compose, edit and send simple messages with Finalsite Central. Advanced messages using a template must be created in the Messages module on your desktop ahead of time, then you can send from the app.
Important Note
Templates must be edited in the Messages module and cannot be changed in Finalsite Central.
How do I download the app?
Download the iOS app through the App store and the Android version through the Google Play Store.
Can I grant permissions granularly for sending messages?
Permissions in the Finalsite Central app will mirror the permissions granted in Messages.
Can I push a message from Finalsite Central as a PagePop to our website?
Currently, you cannot post a Page Pop from Finalsite Central, but this is in the plans for a future update. Be sure to subscribe to our Software Update Blog to stay informed of enhancements.
When will translation be available?

What template does a Simple Message use?
Simple messages will have the Simple Template automatically inserted into them. This template can be easily customized by going to Messages > Templates > System > Simple Template to swap out the default Finalsite logo for your organization’s logo and change the background color of the header to a complementary color.
Can I see statistics in Finalsite Central?

Can I use rich text editing?
In order to facilitate easy transition between different channels (SMS, Voice etc.) within the app, plain text is used.
What is the character limit for the SMS send?
Each SMS is limited to 160 characters.
How does autocorrect for spelling work in Finalsite Central?
Autocorrect is based on each device’s autocorrect functionality. Nothing within the Finalsite Central app will automatically search for errors without this being set up in the device settings. Read more about this in the article, "How to change the autocorrect settings on Android and iOS."
How do I know my message has been successfully sent?
You will receive an animation and confirmation screen once the message has been sent. Then, the message will be listed as "Sent" in your message lists. See also: Send confirm screen
What’s the difference between Promotional and Announcement in Message Type?
Important Announcement emails will ignore global unsubscribes, so should be sent with caution to groups and other constituents. In Finalsite Central, "Announcement" message types are the same as “Important Announcement” in the Messages Module. See also: Promotional Messages vs Important Announcements.
Which Reply-To address should I use?
You can select your own address (the default), or any Reply-To addresses that you have permission to use. See also: Prepare to send your message
Schedule a message to go out when it is most convenient. When you hit send, the app will give you the choice to "Send Now" or "Send Later". You will see a screen displaying the number of recipients with a final chance to "Review" the messages in each channel. See also: Schedule messages to send later
How does Finalsite Central compare to our existing Mobile app? Can I push Messages from Finalsite Central as notifications through our existing Mobile app?
Finalsite Central is a tool for web admins to send messages out to your community while on the go. However, your Mobile app enables site visitors to access information on your website from a mobile device. And yes, you can push messages from Finalsite Central to your Mobile app! After drafting a message in the opening screen, you will see "App" as an optional channel to push messages to, as well as SMS and Voice.
