Understand the subscriber's row
After clicking on a list tab, you can see a list of all those who may have been subscribed to or added to this list. Each row gives you some good information and some actions that can be taken.
- Email or chat window: This tells you which delivery method is represented in a particular row: email address or SMS message.
- Email address or phone number: The email or phone that is subscribed will be listed next to the delivery icon.
- User name and role(s): This tells you who is the owner of this delivery method. Click to go straight to the user's profile in Constituent Manager.
- Subscriber status and preference label: You can see whether a user's specific delivery method is "Subscribed" or "Unsubscribed" to the selected list and what their preference label is.
- Time stamp and user: Here you can see an exact time stamp of the subscription status change (add or opt-out) and name of the user who made the change.
- + / - icon: You can manually subscribe or unsubscribe a person's delivery method to this list.
Important Note on Consent
- Email Consent: According to the CAN-SPAM Act, recipients must be able to opt out of receiving future emails.
- SMS Consent: The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) says that students, parents, and faculty who provide mobile numbers to schools are effectively granting consent to receive SMS text messages for important information, sent as Important Announcements, Urgent, or Emergency messages, as well as sending out non-emergency messages related to the school's educational mission.
Learn more in the article, "Communication consent requirements" in our Knowledge Base and be sure to only resubscribe users manually when they have expressed consent.

Understand email subscriber status labels
Subscribers can have one of four email status labels with regard to email messaging:
- All Messages: When users select "All Messages", they give their consent for you to automatically add them to new mailing lists. They understand that though they may manually unsubscribe from one mailing list, that they may still be added to a new mailing list in the future.
- Invite Only: Users select this when they give their consent to be invited to mailing lists. They must accept the invitation before receiving any messages sent to to the mailing list.
- No Messages: Users select "No Messages" when they do not give their consent to be subscribed to any mailing list from their district or school. They understand; however, that they will still receive transactional emails (form submission, registration confirmations, and other online purchase receipts).
- My Choice: Selecting "My Choice" means that users give consent to be added only to mailing lists that they have subscribed to themselves. They understand that when selecting this status, they will not be sent any message or invitation to for a mailing list prior to subscribing themselves.
