What this integration does
Finalsite's Skyward integration keeps constituent records in Finalsite aligned with the data already maintained in Skyward. Instead of school staff entering or updating student, parent, and staff information twice, the sync pulls it from Skyward on a regular basis and updates the matching records in Finalsite.
What data syncs into Finalsite
The integration syncs core constituent information, including:
- Student records: demographic and enrollment information used to build and maintain portal accounts.
- Parent and guardian records: contact information and relationships to enrolled students.
- Staff and faculty records: employment and role information used for admin and portal access.
Skyward-authenticated portal login
For some schools, Finalsite is configured to check portal login credentials directly against Skyward rather than using a separate Finalsite password. When this is set up, a password changed in Skyward is the one that matters for logging in to the Finalsite portal. Where synced data is used
Once synced, this data feeds Constituent Manager, which in turn supports portal account access and message recipient groups. A student or parent who is missing or out of date in Skyward will show the same gap downstream in Finalsite, including in Message recipient lists and, in some cases, Chat room membership.
