Constituent Manager is the module that houses data about your people (constituents) organized into roles and/or groups.
A role is simply a “bucket” of constituents, such as Faculty and Staff, Students, Parents, or Alumni. The available roles are based on your contract. A group is a subsection of constituents organized using Group Manager and can be configured in a way that works best for your organization.
This article shows how to perform certain tasks you'll need to know when you are managing your people data in Constituent Manager.

Benefits to having data in Constituent Manager
Once uploaded, the data in Constituent Manager can benefit you in many ways.
- Admin User Accounts: Create admin user accounts for certain people to manage your website.
- Directory: Display people information on your webpages with a Constituent Element > Directory format. You can even make your directory available on your mobile app!
- Messages: Send a message to a group of people in Constituent Manager.
- Portals: Create portal accounts for your people to log into an access-controlled page.
- Posts: Allow a group of constituents to add posts to a specific board.
- Resources: Allow a group of people to upload resources to Resources.
Managing your constituents
There are three ways to manage constituent membership in Constituent Manager: Manual Entry, Datasheet Upload, and Integration. Look at the table below to understand how to manage membership depending on the method.

Manual Entry |
Manually enter data for each user, one-by-one.
|
Open the person's account profile in Constituent Manager > click the trashcan icon in the top right corner of the Profile tab to delete the user's account.
|
Datasheet Upload |
Complete the datasheet and upload yourself! Learn more at "Upload constituent data to Constituent Manager."

|
SIS Integration |
This is a single-directional import of your student information system data.
|
After deleting a user via SIS Integration, changes are reflected 48-72 hours after deletion via Off-feed utility.
|
Removing users more quickly
In urgent situations while waiting for the Off-feed utility to run, here are some faster options:
1. Manually delete a member in Constituent Manager
-
Have you deleted a member in your SIS / Integration and you're not seeing it reflected in your directory or mobile app yet?
- As a work-around, you can manually delete the user's Constituent Profile.
-
Does the person you're deleting have an Admin login? Click on the Account tab to confirm.
- You will not want to accidentally delete the constituent profile that is connected to an Admin User Account.
Once you are ready, click the trashcan icon in the Profile tab to delete a user. Changes will be reflected immediately anywhere this user is located in your platform.
2. Unpublish Profile option
This is a great option for when you aren't sure you're ready to delete a profile but you want it to be removed from any public-facing pages, directories, and mobile app screens.
- When you check Unpublish Profile, you can hide a person's entire listing in any online directories, including the Directory screen of the mobile app.
Here's how it works:
- In a person's constituent profile, check the box next to Unpublish Profile.
- Once you check the box, click Update Profile in the bottom right corner.
Important Note
After clicking Update Profile, it may take a few minutes for dynamic group and any mailing list memberships to be refreshed and updated for this user.
