Domain Settings have configurations that affect all of the pages within a particular domain. This article will guide you in configuring Domain Settings that work for you!
In this Article
Find the Domain Settings section for the appropriate Domain in Composer. These settings can be found when you hover over the Domain, click the 3-dot menu, and select Settings.
This will open up your Domain Settings window:
General tab
In the General tab, you can complete the following actions:
- Domain Label: Add the label that will show in Composer left navigation.
- Default Page Language: Add here which language will be your default language.
- Domain Location: Assign a location to a particular domain.

Host Names section: Here you can see what your primary host name is.
- Domain is live checkbox: When you are ready to launch a domain in Composer, you can check this box to accept the DNS changes and check this box. Learn more in the article, "Set your site to 'Live'".
- Domain Favicon: A favicon a small graphic that represents your district or school and appears in various places on a web browser. Browse to select a new favicon for this domain.
Landing Pages tab
In the Landing Pages tab, you can set your Domain Default Pages and Role Landing Pages.
Set Domain Default Pages
- 404 Page: Set the page that visitors will land on when the server cannot find the requested resource. Click to learn how to "Create a custom 404 page."
- Login Page: Here, you will create and select a page that your website users will land on to login.
- Search Page: A page can be created that contains a Search Element. Here visitors can enter search queries to find different parts of your website.
- Form Page: When forms are opened up, you can set a Form Page that will populate your form in such a way that matches the styling on your website. Learn more at "Set a form landing page."
- News Post Page: Clicking on a post can open it on its own template page, provide deeper engagement with other news items, have its own URL and so much more! Check out the article, "Create a Default Board Post Page (DBPP)" for more details!
- Calendar Event Page: Create a composer page where events can open up onto dynamically and, when setting this page as a landing page, events opening onto their own page can be dressed up and more engaging!
- Athletics Event Page: Events in Athletics Manager can be opened onto their own page, once page is set here.
- Unsubscribe Page: You can customize the page where users land if they decide to click the Unsubscribe link in an Email sent from Messages in order to unsubscribe from email communication. Add an Unsubscribe Form element from the Element Library onto your Unsubscribe page so that users can unsubscribe to emails.
