The Resources module has file size limits for individual uploads and total disk space. Understanding these limits helps avoid failed uploads and ensures your site's storage is used efficiently. Different file types and contexts have different maximum sizes.

đź’ˇQuick answers

  • What is the maximum file size for a single upload to Resources? File size limits vary by type; contact Finalsite Support or check your site's disk space usage to confirm current limits. Generally, keep individual files under 100MB for optimal performance.
  • Where do you check how much disk space your site is using? In Resources > Disk Space Usage (scroll to the bottom of the left navigation); it shows used vs. available storage broken down by file category.
  • Can the Resources disk space limit be increased? Yes; contact your Finalsite Client Success Manager to discuss storage upgrade options if your site is approaching its limit.
  • What happens when an upload exceeds the size limit? The upload will fail and an error message will appear; reduce the file size by compressing or resizing it before attempting to upload again.
