Manage Messages templates

Managing Messages templates involves tasks like renaming, cloning, setting permissions, and deleting templates. Efficient template management keeps your library organized and ensures admin users have access to the right templates for their messaging needs.

💡Quick answers

  • How do you rename a Messages template? Open the template from the Templates tab, click into the template name field, edit it, and save.
  • Cloning a Messages template? From the Templates list, use the three-dot menu next to the template and select Clone; a copy appears in the list that you can rename and modify independently.
  • Can template access be restricted to specific admin groups? Yes; set Template Level permissions via the gear icon on the template to control which groups can view, edit, or have Admin access to that template.

Templates are the framework of each of your messages, allowing you to send messages that are consistent in look, feel, and layout. Learn more in the article, "Templates overview."
