GG4L Integration

Finalsite now offers data integration with the Global Grid 4 Learning (GG4L). GG4L offers connectors to a large number of student information systems (SIS). This includes the following systems:

With this data integration, data can feed from your SIS, through GG4L, into Finalsite using the OneRoster standard. This includes faculty, student, parent, class, and roster data. A detailed description of the available datapoints can be found in this document.

The OneRoster standard is fairly rigid and may not include all fields that you wish to see sync to Finalsite. In some cases (and using some providers) this can be extended to include some of those fields. Not all SIS systems include a way to do that, so if you have specific data requirements, please inform us when asking about this integration so we can investigate and see what is feasible given your SIS system. Powerschool specifically can be adjusted to include many fields as long as you can identify where in the database these fields are located so GG4L can query them.

When deploying this integration, Finalsite will connect you with a deployment expert at GG4L so they can work with you on configuring access to your data and answer any questions you may have. You will not be charged a fee for connecting your database to GG4L; however, there are integration fees to connect your Finalsite site to GG4L (please ask your Client Success Manager). If you are already using GG4L, we can skip this step.

Once configuration between GG4L and your SIS system is complete, Finalsite will access your data and work with you to test, customize, and deploy your integration on your live Finalsite site.

By default, GG4L will sync your data from your SIS once daily, at a time you can configure. Finalsite will schedule a daily sync to match that schedule. If you require a more frequent sync, that can be requested of GG4L and we can set a schedule on our end that will match that to ensure we are updating as frequently as the data in GG4L.
