Follow the routine

A simple routine keeps the insights useful after launch. For fresh ideas, browse the CrazyEgg blog and case studies. See also the first 90 days plan in the overview article, "Website insights with CrazyEgg."

Choose pages Pick pages that matter most to families. Create your first heatmap
Review Check the heatmap and scrollmap for shifts in clicks and scrolling. Heatmap analysis training
Adjust Make one small change based on what the reports show. Adjust pages to guide visitor attention

Choose pages to track

A heatmap tracks only the page it was created for. Good candidates are pages that matter to families and pages with a high exit rate in the list report. CrazyEgg also supports creating multiple heatmaps at once, tracking groups of pages with wildcards, and tracking pages behind a login with Page Camera.

Share and export results

A share link lets someone view a heatmap without a CrazyEgg login. Click maps, scrollmaps, confetti maps, and overlay maps can be exported as JPG or PDF files, and the list report can be exported as a CSV file. See Sharing a heatmap and Exporting reports.
