Athletics Roster element overview

The Athletics Roster element can display a list of team members, or a list of coaches, for a selected team.

Athletics Roster element settings

The Athletics Roster element can be configured as either a Players roster or a Coaches roster using the buttons at the top of the element settings.

In addition to the common element settings, the Athletics Roster element includes the following configuration options.

Players Roster

Content Filters

  • Default Athletics Team: Use the dropdown to select which team's player roster to display. By selecting "dynamic only," it will display information for the team that was selected in an Athletics Team element.
  • Select the format for the roster. The available options are:
    • Roster Content & Players: Displays any text in the "Roster Content" section of the Team Roster tab in Athletics Manager, and a list of all team members.
    • Roster Content: Displays ONLY the "Roster Content" text.
    • List of Players: Displays ONLY a list of team members.

Content Details

Player information: This section allows you to choose which information you would like to display about the players. The options are:

  • Number
  • Position
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Class Year
  • Grade Level
  • Hometown
  • Biography

These stats only appear if the corresponding checkbox in Athletics Manager is selected for the team.

Formatting

Display Players in a: Choose the List or Grid radio button. In the Grid view, columns are created for each of the details that you select under "Roster Information."

Advanced

Ignore URL Parameters: When selected, the page that this element is on will always retain its own title and page metadata for tracking purposes. If you are tracking visits to the site by users who are interested in specific teams, leave this checkbox unselected. This way, your statistics tracking will show this page appearing once for each visit for each specific team rather than showing all of the visits for all teams collectively.

Coaches Roster

Content Filters

  • Default Athletics Team: Use the dropdown to select which team's coach roster to display. Select "Dynamic only" if this element's content is being set via another element, either on this page or a separate page.
  • Select the format for the roster. The available options are:
    • Coach Content and List of Coaches: Displays any text in "Coach Content" section of the Team Coaches tab in Athletics Manager and a list of all team coaches.
    • Coach Content: Displays ONLY the "Coach Content" text.
    • List of Coaches: Displays ONLY a list of coaches.

Content Details

Coach Information: Here, you can set which information is displayed for the coaches: Title, Photo, Biography, and Email.

Controls

Here, you can enable the "Link names to coach’s profile" checkbox, which will provide each coach’s Constituent Manager profile when their name is clicked.

Advanced

Link To

  • Choose Popup to open coach details in a popup window. Coach details are drawn from their Constituent Manager profile.
  • Choose Page to open coach details in a new page that you select. Whatever page you select must already be published with a Constituent Profile element on it to work properly.
