This article helps site admins with help for their community to subscribe to their calendar feed so that events can show up on their personal device dynamically, anytime new events are made. This includes copying the original calendar URL and making it available to your community on a Composer page.

Step 1: Copy the URL from Calendar settings

Go to the original source of your calendar that is feeding onto the Calendar element displaying the calendar you'd like your community to be able to subscribe to.

  • Open the New Calendars module, hover on the calendar you would like to share, and click on the 3-dot More menu.
  • Click to open Settings. Locate the Integrate Calendar field and copy the link displaying there.

Step 3 (Optional): Disable alert icons in your Calendar element

Now that you are providing the link for your community, it's possible to make it less tempting for your visitors to try to subscribe to your calendars the way they may have done in the past. You can do this by disabling these alert icons.

Important Note

When you disable your alert icons, you will disable both the Feeds icon and the orange bell subscription icon at the same time. Selecting to disable the alert icons will remove both of them from that specific Calendar element.
