This parent-facing article explains how to subscribe to a school or district calendar using the New Calendars module. Visitors can add the calendar directly to a default calendar app or copy the subscription link to paste into their personal calendar.

💡Quick answers

  • Where is the subscribe icon on the calendar page? In the top-right corner above the calendar; click it to open the Subscribe to calendar window.
  • What are the two ways to subscribe? Add to calendar (direct add to your default calendar app) or Copy link (copy the URL and paste it into your personal calendar app manually).
  • Can you subscribe to just one calendar instead of all of them? Yes; in the Subscribe to calendar window, select individual calendars from the list instead of "All Public calendars on this page."

This article will show you how to subscribe to the calendars on your student's district or school website. 

Step 1: Navigate to a calendar and click the subscribe icon

On your district or school site, is there a calendar that you'd like to subscribe to?

  • Navigate to a page that is displaying a calendar.
  • Select this icon in the top-right corner above the calendar. This will open a window where you can decide how to subscribe.

Step 2: Choose how you want to subscribe

The Subscribe to calendar window will open up, allowing you to choose how you want to subscribe.

Does the window that pops up when you click the feeds icon (Step 1) look different from the one in this article? Like this?

If so, you are on a different version of our calendars software. Please skip to Step 2 in a separate article, "Subscribe to a calendar."

Choice #1: Add directly to calendar or copy link

There are two ways to subscribe to a calendar: Add to calendar and Copy link.

  • Add to calendar: Use this option to add a calendar directly to your default calendar app.
  • Copy link: Copy and paste the calendar URL into your personal calendar. (see third-party specific instructions below)

Choice #2: Subscribe to all calendars or only one

Step 3: Confirm the calendar is displaying

Navigate to the calendar on your device and cross check with the events on the calendar page of your district or school website.
