Unsubscribe Form element

What are Elements?

Elements are the fundamental building blocks of your Composer pages. Learn more about how elements work in the article, "Understanding elements" and read about each of the 5 tabs in the element library: Standard, Module, Layout, Social, and Shared.

Unsubscribes are an important subject to understand. You want your constituents to be able to receive Messages from your organization without worrying that they’ll opt out and miss important information. However, you run a greater risk of getting labeled as a spammer if you don’t have an  unsubscribe link available on any Promotional communications.

This article will show you how to use the Unsubscribe Form element in the Element Library to provide a way for your visitors to submit an Unsubscribe Form when they wish to opt-out.

The Unsubscribe Form element allows site visitors to submit an Unsubscribe Form when they wish to opt-out of any communication. Once you create a Composer page with an Unsubscribe Form element, you can then set this page in Domain Settings > Landing Pages to make this page more visible on your site.

Navigate to the Unsubscribe Form element in the Standard tab of your Element Library.

Unsubscribe Form element settings

  • Once you insert an Unsubscribe Form element onto a Composer page, you'll notice that a message tells you: "Unsubscribe Form cannot be viewed in the Composer admin interface."
  • The form will be visible to your constituents when they view the live version of the page.
  • Unlike many other elements in the Element Library, there are no settings to configure in the settings gear.
