This article outlines how to configure a Bluesky Feeds source in Finalsite Feeds, including how to connect a Bluesky account and display posts on the website.
💡Quick answers
- Where do districts and schools select their feed? The Feeds module opens to the Feeds dashboard, which lists all available feeds. Click the name of a feed to open the feeds configuration screen.
-
What is required to add a Bluesky source? A public Bluesky account handle (e.g.,
handle.bsky.social). - Is account connection required? No; public Bluesky posts can be accessed using the account handle without requiring login credentials.
- What content is displayed? Public posts from the connected Bluesky account.
Step 1: Navigate to the Feeds module
In Composer, open the module menu on the left sidebar and select Feeds.
Landing on the Feeds dashboard, select the individual district or school feed that needs configuration or a new source added.
To add a new source directly from the dashboard, click the + in the Source column. Alternatively, click the three-dot menu next to the Edit button on the far right.
Once inside the feeds configuration screen, click the red + Add New Source button.
Either path opens the Add a Social Media Source window. Learn about all of the source options in the article, "What is a source."
Step 2: Configure the Bluesky source
- Enter the Bluesky account handle into the source field (e.g.,
handle.bsky.social). - Save the source. Feeds will display public posts from that Bluesky account.
